Growing up, weddings and funerals were a normal part of my life, as my parents were Salvation Army ministers.
In 1989 I became a Justice of the Peace and almost immediately people started asking me to conduct their wedding.
On making enquiries I discovered that being a celebrant did not come hand in hand with being a Justice of the Peace, so I applied and became a marriage celebrant about 18 months later.
Being a marriage celebrant then lead to being asked by family and friends to conduct memorial services and funeral services. Recently I have also undertaken services for families where I have been recommended,
and through funeral directors.
With my experience, professionalism and genuine empathy
for
people, I am able to instill confidence and ensure that these special services are
everything they want them to be.
